The Plastic Surgery Nurses Symposium (PSNS) is an annual event with the goal of promoting and supporting Plastic Surgery Nursing practice in all areas from public hospital outpatients and theatre nursing through to wound management and cosmetic surgery
The conference is usually held during a weekend in June and is a day and a half of lectures from experts in varied fields related to Plastic Surgery. This symposium can be credited towards continuing medical education (CME).
Nurses are invited to contribute papers to the Symposium and there is an award for the best paper presented.
This annual event is convened by NZIPCS co-ordinator Karen Baker. Advertising flyers for the conference are usually sent to hospitals or clinics several months before the symposium.
