Australia and New Zealand Board of Cosmetic Plastic Surgeons

ANZBCPS board-certified surgeons are assessed annually to ensure their registration as specialist plastic surgeons in Australia or New Zealand is current and they continue to meet the stringent professional and ethical standards for cosmetic surgery practice.

 

To become an ANZBCPS Board Certified Surgeon your plastic surgeon has completed the following:

  • Successfully awarded the FRACS following accredited plastic surgery training
  • Registered as a specialist in the recognised speciality of plastic surgery by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) or the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ)
  • Membership of good standing on ASAPS¹ or ASPS² or NZAPS³
  • Involved in the practice of cosmetic surgery
  • Completed the CPD⁴ of RACS⁵
  • Nominate RACS as CPD home
  • Complete cosmetic surgery specific CPD as specified by the board
