Mr David Morgan Jones is a UK trained Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon.
He is passionate about bringing the best and most advanced procedures, through his international experience in world-leading hospitals, to patients in New Zealand.

Skin Cancer Excision and Reconstruction, with a UK Fellowship dedicated to curing and reconstructing the most complex skin cancers in the Head, Neck and Body.

Background

Mr David Morgan Jones is a Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon.

David graduated from Cardiff Medical School (UK) in 2007. He worked as a junior Doctor in South Wales and at the Welsh Centre for Plastic Surgery, Swansea 2007 – 2012.

He was then selected for Specialist Registrar training on the prestigious Cambridge (UK) Deanery Rotation form 2012 – 2018.

In addition to this David has undertaken Fellowship level training in Cosmetic Surgery, Hand Surgery and Skin Cancer Excision & Reconstructive Surgery.

After his UK training David moved to New Zealand. This was initially intended to be for one year but having fallen in love with the people and the country he has permanently settled in New Zealand.

David was appointed as a Consultant Plastic, Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon at New Zealand’s National Centre for Burns and Plastic Surgery, Middlemore Hospital in 2018.

In 2020 he also started working in Private Practice and holds appointments at NZIPCS, Ormiston Specialist Centre and Marina Specialist Centre.

He is credentialled to operate at Allevia Hospital Ascot, Auckland Surgical Centre and Ormiston Hospital. He is an affiliated provider to Southern Cross and ACC.
